We left Chiapas and we are delighted to have marched to Oaxaca for which we are asking the government of President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador to withdraw the National Guard to avoid clashes, Irineo Mujica, a member of an organization called Pueblos sin fronteras (People Without Borders).

The migrants – almost four thousand as Mujica said, and the Migration Institute less than two thousand – left yesterday Sunday morning from the neighborhood of Azteca, municipality of Arriaga, Chiapas and arrived in Los Corazones, Oaxaca , where they spent the night. He said that the members of this caravan remain firm in their idea of reaching Mexico City. Some human rights spokespersons accuse him of inciting migrants to refuse the facilities offered to them by the government such as residence permits.

Mujica himself said again today, as if his voice was the only one of the contingent, that they are ready to do whatever it takes to arrive and that we will not accept any document offered by the government.

He claimed without providing evidence that those who offer them a visa are deceiving them because they are forcing them to accept a document which is not useful to them, since it does not give them permission to travel anywhere in the world. country.
